As a matter of fact, kitchen carpets have become more popular over recent years- but they aren’t the typical carpets that you are thinking of, they are more of a rug used to create a cosier environment on the wooden or tiled floor.
So what are the pros and cons of having kitchen carpets?
Pros:
- Carpets are soft and can offer additional protection to the floor and to your crockery and glassware- as carpet can break the fall and prevent them from smashing
- They are better for people who have back problems
- It makes the room feel more comfortable and warm
- They look very contemporary
- It’s ideal for children if they want to sit with you whilst you are cooking
Cons:
- Kitchen carpets are much more difficult to clean than tiles or wooden flooring
- They show wear and tear a lot easier
- They can become greasy
- If dirty they can really affect the look of your kitchen
